La Sibaritide tirrenica e gli Enotri
Abstract
This paper shows the preliminary results of the last research in the Policastro Gulf and in the river Lao-Mercure’s valley,
where the Oenotrians people settled down about 6th and 5th century b.C. The archaeological excavations carried
out by Dicam’s Team-University of Messina in the Forum of Blanda on the Palecastro’s, hill of Tortora; in the oenotrian
site of Petrosa of Scalea and in S. Gada’s hill of Laino Borgo produce interesting reflections about the Oenotrian
settlement in this area during the archaic age and about local production pottery.
