Le necropoli enotrie di Amendolara. Considerazioni preliminari su Paladino Est

Abstract

The protohistoric necropolises of Agliastroso, San Marco and San Sebastiano belonging to Rione Vecchio and the necropolises
of Mangosa, Paladino Est and Paladino Ovest, connected to San Nicola settlement, allow to outline a preliminary
analysis of the burials practises from Iron Age time to Archaic Age in the area of Amendolara. The sites of Agliastroso,
San Marco and San Sebastiano are known only through scattered findings, while there are more records about Mangosa,
Paladino Est and Paladino Ovest, due to systematic investigations carried out between the mid-60s and 70s of the last
century. This contribution will focus on the necropolis of Paladino Est which, among the three other researches, is the
only one which has not been published yet. Although official records of archaeological research have not been found, the
authors by analysing the archeological findings, have drawn will some relevant information from notes, bags and tags.
