Abstract

By summarizing recent archaeological research in Southern Italy, we can highlight the lines of investigation and methodological
approaches that have guided the reflection on relations between Greeks and native populations of ancient
Italy. The contribution’s focus is on the remaining open problems and research strategies that can be developed using
the knowledge acquired so far.
