Abstract

The history of research on oenotrian populations is a young one, born out of a few, scattered articles during the war
years, and established mainly since the 1960s. For the first time, this contribution attempts to draw a synthetic picture
of the history of the study of the oenotrian world, starting from the consideration of the different settlement areas of
population in Campania, Basilicata and Calabria.
