La Vigna Manzi a Garaguso (MT): vecchi scavi, ricerche in corso e prospettive di studio di un importante sito indigeno
Abstract
This article traces the history of the archaeological research conducted on the site of the Vigna Manzi in Garaguso
starting from the excavation of Vittorio Di Cicco in 1916 (which uncovered the famous ‘Dea di Garaguso’ and her tempietto)
to the five surveys run by Jean-Paul Morel between 1969 and 1970. It then presents the results of the campaign
led by Jean-Marc Moret in 2008 as well as the reopening and the prospects of the study of this site by the University
of Liège.
