Abstract


SVMMARIVM – In Cic. Mil. 2 una cum v.d. Garatoni nec illa praesidia pro non illa praesidia
legendum est, et itidem paulo ultra subsequens genetivus terroris delendus; oportet fortasse
Birt sequi, qui lacunam hoc loco postulavit.

 

ABSTRACT – This paper argues for the resumption of a conjecture by Garatoni in Cic. Mil. 2
(nec illa praesidia instead of non illa praesidia), as well as for the omission of terroris; and for
the revaluation of Birt’s hypothesis of a loss of some lines in our tradition.
