Abstract

&is article proposes an analysis of the reuse of the topos according to which virtue is superior to statues for the survival of the memory of the princes in an extract from the LXXIV (or LXXIII) book of Cassius Dio and in chapter 55 of the Pliny the Younger’s Panegyricus.
