Ecfraseis iliádicas de Eurípides: autoría vs. tradición épica

Abstract

The aim of this contribution is to analyse the three ecphraseis of Iliadic
subject that are present in the Euripidean tragedy and to explain how the antecedents
of the progymnasmatic theory of ecphrasis can be operative in the Euripides’ production.
To do that we try to show the Euripidean traits in his ecphrasis handle face to
its Homeric models and try to see how the Euripidean text combines its echoes of the
Iliadic song with its authorial pretensions.
