GLI INTONACI E GLI STUCCHI DELLA VILLA DELLA PISCINA DI CENTOCELLE: QUALITÀ DEGLI ARREDI PITTORICI DI UN COMPLESSO SUBURBANO TRA I E III SEC. D.C.
Abstract
The Villa of Centocelle (Rome) is a suburban roman villa excavated by the Sovrintendenza Capitolina in the
1990s. The investigations brought to light a large number of fragments of painted plaster and stucco found
out of context in the destruction deposits of two different sectors of the complex. This contribution presents
a selection of the most substantial groups of fragments, relating to wall and ceiling decorations, dating
between the first and the second century AD.
