CEG SUPPLEMENTUM ONLINE: UNA RIFLESSIONE SUI CARMINA EPIGRAPHICA DUBIA E SPURIA*. IL CASO DI SEG 31.561, L’ISCRIZIONE DEI PLATEESI AD APOLLO?

Alessia Gonfloni

Abstract

The Carmina Epigraphica Supplementum project consists of a textual and bibliographical update of Peter
Allan Hansen’s Carmina Epigraphica Graeca. The research is divided into three parts: a first section is dedicated
to the bibliographical update of inscriptions already published by Hansen; the second is a catalogue
of the new inscriptions not included in Hansen’s corpus (about 80 new epigrams). The catalogue includes archeological,
literary, historical, epigraphical, metrical and cultural data, because to provide a right interpretation
of an epigraphy it is really important not to leave out anything. The last part of the project consists of
the database implementation: an online website where all data will be stored. The data storage has revealed
some problems about metrical texts as well as some chronological issues. It has also revealed a non-existent
inscription (SEG 31.561).
