LARIBUS (AUGUSTIS), SILVANO SACRUM. UNA RICOGNIZIONE DELLE ATTESTAZIONI EPIGRAFICHE DEL CULTO NELL’ITALIA MERIDIONALE

Abstract

In the paper overall considerations on the cult of Silvanus and the Lares in Augustan Italy regions II, III
and IV are presented. The text is accompanied by a prospectus giving basic information (discovery place,
monument type, dedicators, bibliography) for all the documents considered. After having illustrated the
geographical, topographical and chronological distribution figures of the dedications collected (some also
of a funerary nature), the authors proceed by suggesting some points of interest regarding the cult protagonists,
the existence of local collegia and the epithets of the deities.
