“INTERAGIRE CON DEI E DEMONI”. UN’IMPOSTAZIONE INNOVATIVA PER IL CAPITOLO DI UN MANUALE MAI SCRITTO

Abstract

Among the unaccomplished works by Silvio Panciera, one is particularly relevant: a new handbook of Latin
Epigraphy, with a very innovative concept. This paper aims to present the idea that lies behind the chapter
that was conceived to illustrate the sacred inscriptions: “Interacting with gods and demons”. Unfortunately,
only a small part of this work has already been elaborated, and a lot remains to be done in the future, probably
not by a single scholar, but by a whole research team.
