FINGERE EX ARGILLA. GLI INDICATORI DI PRODUZIONE DI MINIATURISTICI NEL CONTESTO VOTIVO DI TIVOLI, LOC. ACQUORIA

Laura Sagripanti

Abstract

The only votive context in Rome and Latium Vetus to have revealed a considerable level of evidence for corse ware production is the deposits at Tivoli (Acquoria). These are often small in size, and are closely related to the more common miniaturistic pottery. In addition to the possibility that these may be objects exclusively intended for votive practices, this talk aims to investigate the direct relationship between the documentary value of a deposit and the craft activities connected to it.
