PRAGMATICA DELLA COMUNICAZIONE E DISSIMULAZIONE / SIMULAZIONE GESTUALE NELL’ENEIDE: ANALISI DI ALCUNI CASI

Abstract

After a brief excursus into some of the most relevant results of almost forty years of applying communication
pragmatics to the classical texts (a method that had been devised by G. Bateson and was more extensively
resumed by Watzlawick et al. 1967), the present contribution, which inserts itself within this line of studies,
examines three cases of gestural simulation and dissimulation in the Aeneid (1. 209; 4. 331-332; 4. 477).
