INTONACI FRAMMENTARI AD AQUILEIA (UD). UN CASO DI STUDIO DALLO SCAVO DELLA CASA DELLE BESTIE FERITE

Abstract

This paper focuses on the presentation of the results obtained from the study of a large group of Roman
period painted fragments found during an excavation conducted by the University of Paudua in 2015, at the
site of the Casa delle Bestie Ferite. Despite the difficulties caused by the high level of decontextualisation of
the fragments, it was possible to identify some elements of interest. This study also represents an opportunity
to discuss new research perspectives on roman wall painting in Aquileia.
