IL DATABASE TECT PER LA SCHEDATURA DELLE PITTURE OSTIENSI: IL CASO DELL’INSULA III, X

Abstract

This paper aims to present the results of a project cataloguing the wall paintings from Insula III, X from
Ostia Antica, through the use of the Tect Database. Through the filing of these elaborate and well preserved
materials it has been possible to test the validity of the digital resource and to formulate new proposals for
the refinement of the database itself. New perspectives for the exploitation of the database have also been
identified in the fields of research, restoration and archaeological evaluation.
