NOTA SU ALCUNE PITTURE DI SECONDO STILE DA AQUILEIA

Emanuela Murgia

Abstract

This contribution is a preliminary presentation of a number of groups of frescoes that were recently discovered
in Aquileia and that have been attributed to the Second Style. Further research on wall decorations
during the Late Republican period in northern Italy could allow for new reflections on the utilisation of
craftsmen and the link between Rome and the provinces, wherefrom important pictorial evidence originates.
