Abstract

Renewed attention to the issue of water and its management in the city of Pompeii has fuelled new research initiatives in recent years
aimed at improving the level of knowledge on this subject.
In this regard, some data acquired in the central-southern sector of the city have appeared very suggestive. These would seem to provide
parts and clues to a possible reconstructive hypothesis of the supply system of the theatres and, specifically, of the stage building
in the pre-Roman.
