ASPETTI SOCIO-GIURIDICI DEL SISTEMA VIARIO ROMANO

Abstract

RIASSUNTO
Attraverso un’analisi del sistema viario romano, il lavoro si
propone di offrire una riflessione su taluni aspetti socio-giuridici
della vita dell’antica Roma, dalla viabilità nelle lunghe percorrenze,
alla circolazione delle persone e delle merci, collegata alla
realizzazione di centri economici intermedi e soprattutto ai luoghi
di sosta e sostentamento per uomini ed animali, e, infine, la grande
comunicazione del cursus publicus.

ABSTRACT
Through an analysis of the Roman road system, the work proposes a reflection on certain socio-legal aspects
of life in ancient Rome, from the long-distance road system to the movement of people and goods, linked to the
creation of intermediate economic centers and, above all, to temporary resting and refreshment places for men
and animals, and, finally, the great communication of the cursus publicus.
