The purpose of the article is to investigate the models, the ethical, ideological and cultural
premises on which the assimilation of the power relations between the Carthaginians and the
Romans to those active between deer and wolves in Horace Odes 4,4,50-52 is based through
the comparison with the poem 1,15: here the anti-heroic and deplorable behavior of Paris...
