Notes on the Text of a Latin Elegy of Muratori on his Hometown Vignola

Abstract

Very recently Gabriele Burzacchini has published a critical edition (with translation and
commentary) of a poem of Muratori that gives a vivid description of a market-day in his
hometown Vignola. The present article endeavours to make improvements to text and
interpretation of two passages of this underrated Jugendwerk.
