Abstract


Some fragments of a marble plaque could show the presence in Centuripe (Enna) of an extra-Italic
adlectus inter tribunicios under Claudius. The probable existence of a Sicilian senator adlectus directly
by the emperor could be compatible with the privileged condition of Centuripe, and its élites, and
could confirm the non-marginal status of Sicily in the high imperial period.
