C. Considius Nonianus, L. Luscius e gli altri. Bolli doliari d’età post-sillana nella Media Valle dell’Albegna

Abstract

The recovery of a fragment of brick stamped by C. Considius Nonianus, from the territory of
Heba, in the Albegna Valley, invites us to re-examine the other examples of late republican stamps
of this territory. In particular, the possibility that L. Luscius – attested in the territory of Scansano
and in Heba itself – can be identified with the homonymous follower of Sulla is evaluated. On the
whole, the testimonies of opus doliare confirm the consistency of the reorganization of the territory
of Heba and Saturnia in the Sullan age.
