Due schede per l’epigrafia tardoantica in Toscana

Giulio Ciampoltrini

Abstract

Research in the archive of the National Archaeological Museum of Florence (formerly the Archaeological
Superintendency of Tuscany) allows us to report two late antique inscribed monuments
from Tuscany: a fragment of a late antique funerary inscription from the excavations conducted
in Santa Reparata in Florence, and preserved in an autograph file of the then superintendent
Guglielmo Maetzke; a bronze seal, from the Sovana area, documented by a drawing by Francesco
Marcelliani.

Keywords: Florence; Santa Reparata; Sovana; late antique; metal stamp.
