Les données onomastiques dans une inscription disparue, provenant de Nîmes (CIL XII 3896 ; HGL XV 1152)

Michel Christol

Abstract

The revision of the version transmitted by Hirschfeld in CIL XII 3896 makes it possible to propose
the restitution of a more satisfactory text, more faithful to the given transcription. The
onomastic data then restored are more faithful to the anthroponymy of the city of Nîmes in the
early period of Latin epigraphy, when the traces of the Celtic lexicon remained.

Key-words : Annico ; Attiliccus ; Attius ; CIL XII 3896 ; Nîmes ; onomastic data ; Piperculus ;
Senecio ; Senicio.
