CARTAGO Y SUS ALIADOS: LAS RELACIONES ENTRE CARTAGO, UTICA Y GADIR

Abstract
In the paper are analyzed from archaeological record, and particularly pottery imports, the relations between Utica
and early Phoenician sites in the Iberian Peninsula, and the relations between Carthage and colonial Phoenician
settlements during the archaic period. The alliances between Carthage and Utica, and between Carthage and
Gadir are too analyzed following the information of written sources on the period from 6th to 3rd centuries BC.
Particularly the Roman-Carthaginian treaties, or the treaty between Anibal and Philip of Macedony, in order to
establish comparisons in the history of these cities under Carthaginian hegemony.

Resumen
En el artículo se analizan a partir del registro arqueológico, sobre todo las importaciones cerámicas, las relaciones existentes entre Utica y los asentamientos fenicios tempranos de la Península Ibérica, así como entre Cartago y los asentamientos coloniales durante el periodo arcaico. Se revisan asimismo las alianzas entre Cartago y Utica y entre Cartago y Gadir con la información de las fuentes escritas, en el periodo entre los siglos VI y III a.C., particularmente los tratados entre Cartago y Roma o el tratado entre Aníbal y Filipo de Macedonia, estableciendo comparaciones y similitudes en la trayectoria histórica de estas ciudades bajo la hegemonía de Cartago.
