Music plays an important role in the funerary practice of the Punic world, as widely evidenced by the iconographic and literary data. In childhood rituals, of particular interest appears the use of bells, as objects
readable not only as toys but also as means of communication between the world of the living and the world of the dead.

Riassunto
La musica svolge un importante ruolo nella pratica funeraria del mondo punico, come testimoniano
ampiamente i dati iconografi ci e letterari. Di particolare interesse sembra l’utilizzo dei campanelli nei rituali
infantili, oggetti leggibili non solo come giocattoli ma anche come strumenti di comunicazione tra il mondo
dei vivi e il mondo dei morti.
