I «ruderi venerandi» di Testaccio. La Porticus Aemilia tra tutela e degrado all’indomani di Roma Capitale
Abstract
The research, focused on the themes of historical-archaeological protection, aims to reconstruct the history of the urban planning of
isolati XXXV and XXXVI of the Testaccio district in Rome, in the years between the end of the nineteenth century and 1915.
On the basis of archival research, the study sheds light on the events that involved the protection and conservation of the monumental
structures of the Porticus Aemilia, which still today stand out between via Rubattino and via B. Franklin.
