about the structure of John’s Gospel, particularly Guilding’s and
Mollat’s ones. The two scholars consider liturgy and feasts as
potential structural factors. Therefore the essay proposes attaching
great importance not only to the feasts of Israel, which mark the
Gospel’s narration, but also to Jesus’ journeys to Jerusalem temple,
the religious and liturgical center of Jewish nation. The feasts of are neither abolished nor replaced : their meaning is fulfilled in Christ, the universal and spiritual center of the meeting with God.
