TRIBVNAL EXCOGITATVM PRINCIPATVI EST PAR CETERIS TRAIANO, IL PROCESSO FISCALE E L’IMMAGINE DELL’‘OPTIMVS PRINCEPS’

Abstract

In linea con l’immagine di Traiano come optimus princeps, il contributo si propone di ricostruirne gli interventi in ambito fiscale
con particolare riguardo al campo del processo, ove più si sono realizzate le tendenze d giustizia che accompagnano la raffigurazione
che le fonti hanno trasmesso dell’imperatore. Di tale rappresentazione il saggio si propone di ripercorrere il diverso atteggiarsi in età
postclassica con riguardo alle fonti che ce ne hanno trasmesso notizia.

In line with Traians image as ‘optimus princeps’, the contribution intends to reconstruct the interventions in the fiscal sphere
with particular regard to the field of the trial, where have been achieved the justice tendencies that accompany the representation that
the sources have transmitted of the emperor. Of this representation the essay proposes to retrace the different points of view in postclassical
age with regard to the rilevant sources.
